If you are considering adoption or foster care or are already in the process to adopt or foster and you live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, we would like to invite you to join us for the?Empowered To Connect Parenting Training ? Prepare Course.
This?six-week training is designed specifically to prepare couples and singles for the adoption and foster journey.? The course is taught in an interactive small group that will meet each Tuesday night, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Irving Bible Church, starting Tuesday, January 15.? The course will be led by?Michael & Amy Monroe?and will cover the the following six sessions:
? Foundations for Connection
? The Whole Equation: Understanding What You Bring to the Parent-Child Relationship
? The Attachment Dance
? Understanding the Needs of the Whole Child
? Behavioral Change: Connecting While Correcting (Parts 1 & 2)
The cost for the training is $150 per family, which includes materials and all?required resources.? Married couples are required to attend together and singles are encouraged to attend with a support team member (at no additional charge).? Class sizes are limited to no more than 12 families.? Childcare (ages 0 to 5th grade)?is also available.
