Agriculture's Lasting Heritage has been traveling around the country filming interviews at some of the oldest and most beloved working farms in America. The project recently brought them Legare Farms on John's Island.
Legare Farms is a three hundred acre farm on the banks of the Stono River just 14 miles outside of Charleston. Siblings Thomas, Linda and Helen work the farm which produces beefs, pork chickens, eggs and vegetables that are served up by many of the area's top chefs. The farm also promotes and facilitates agrotourism, summer camps for kids and family fun at their annual pumpkin patch.
